Since 1994, the Geography Department has hosted the annual Alumni Reunion and Student Celebration to foster the continued involvement of Texas State geographers in the department, provide a social network for Geography students past and present, and most importantly to "Celebrate the Spirit of Geography". This portion of our website is dedicated to serving geographers both accomplished and aspiring.

Whether you're here to catch up with old friends, visit the faculty, recruit aspiring young geographers, or just want to talk geography, we're always glad to see you.

This year’s Alumni Reunion and Student Celebration is also highlighting the 31 year Texas State teaching career of Byron “Doc” Augustin. Doc has taught and mentored more than 25,000 Texas State students, has worked tirelessly to garner support for the Geography Department scholarship program, and as always is an enthusiastic supporter of the Texas State University Geography program.

In honor of Doc’s many accomplishments, we request your assistance in meeting our goal of fully endowing both the Bruce Lee Augustin Undergraduate Geography Scholarship and the Byron “Doc” Augustin Undergraduate Geography Scholarship. Help us meet our goal to raise $20,000 and “light up the world”!
