These Path
Toward World Literacy resources provide a means to effectively
integrate the national standards in geography into the school curriculum
at all grade levels. They provide a content-specific matrix of what
students should learn by grade clusters, and they present broad
learning objectives and sample learning activities for implementing
the content found in the national standards.
The Path
Toward World Literacy resources result from a partnership between
the Grosvenor Center for Geographic Education and the National
Geographic Society Education Foundation. Developed by a Project
Writing Team of university-level geographic educators, schoolteachers,
and staff members, these resources improve the usefulness of the
national geography standards for states, teachers, and the public.
