The Center for Inter-American Applied Research (CIAAR)
CIAAR is a Texas State University center that establishes and supports collaborative educational and applied research ties with individuals and institutions across the American continents. We seek bi- or multi-national projects that engage in innovative research with international collaborators on a full partnership basis. In so doing, we lend an international perspective to Texas State University educational and research programs.
CIAAR began as the Center for Texas Mexico Applied Research (CeTMAR). The name was recently changed to better represent the scholarly work being done by members of the center and University community. In making the change, we emphasize our efforts to establish collaborative ties with Mexico and beyond.
