Description:  What's in a landscape?  Whether the landscape is a painting, drawing or photograph, the use of critical viewing skills reveals the rich physical, human and cultural life contained in the work.  In these sessions a look at a variety of artistic works hones the visual literacy skills while learning about the artists' interpretation of landscapes.  Teachers of visual arts, social studies and language arts will learn how to guide their students to examine landscapes for deeper meaning.
