TAGE Geography Strand - Texas Council for the Social Studies (TCSS) Conference
TAGE is proud to partner with TCSS in organizing a geography strand for social studies educators at the Annual TCSS Fall Conference. We are now accepting presenter proposals. All presentations are 1 hour and 15 minutes. Presenters confirmed by TAGE will be required to register separately with TCSS.
Your proposal should specifically address how your presentation reflects the conference theme, “Rising Tide of Social Studies” by providing attendees with information and materials that include:
- ways in which the teaching/learning community may demonstrate social responsibility
- ways in which the teaching/learning community may advocate for Social Studies education at the school, community, and/or state level
- connections/references with one or more of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
When: October 14-15, 2016
Where: Corpus Christi, Texas
TAGE encourages submissions related to geography, including an elementary focus.
Proposal Submission Deadline: July 31!
All presenters must register for the conference by September 12, 2016.
Check in at Presenters table at conference to receive your presentation room number and packet.
Applications must be submitted by July 30, 2016.
Please prepare and bring 50 copies of your handouts, printed on white paper. Or, email your presentation and handouts to email@example.com to be posted to the TAGE website by October 1, 2016.
Presenters with accepted submissions will be notified by email. Once notification is received, presenters will be required to confirm their participation.
