Alumni Reunion & Student Celebration
Our 25th annual Alumni Reunion & Student Celebration is scheduled for April 27, 2019 at Freeman Center (Freeman Ranch). We look forward to seeing you there!
Since spring 1995, the Geography Department has hosted the annual Alumni Reunion & Student Celebration to foster the continued involvement of Texas State geographers in the department, provide a social network for Geography students past and present, and most importantly to "Celebrate the Spirit of Geography." This portion of our website is dedicated to serving geographers both accomplished and aspiring.
Whether you're here to catch up with old friends, visit the faculty, recruit aspiring young geographers, or just want to talk geography, we're always glad to see you.
We are also updating our secure mailing list to keep you connected with the incredible happenings in and around the department. You will receive a few emails per year that will include upcoming events and our annual newsletter.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Registration & Check-In begins at 1:00 pm
Children's Activities (including Geocaching Scavenger Hunt) begin at 2:00 pm
Geography Alumni Careers Panel begins at 2:00 pm
Scholarship & Awards ceremony begins at 3:00 pm

Each year at our annual Alumni Reunion and Student Celebration, we distribute tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to our undergraduate and graduate students. These funds are raised from endowments from faculty and staff, alumni and other friends of the department, and corporate sponsors.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to one or more of our scholarships. However small, your donation will make a difference in the lives of our students.
Instructions: To donate, click the green DONATE button below. On the next page, choose the "Geography" department (you can leave the rest blank), and select the scholarship(s) you wish to donate to. Please note that the available scholarships are listed on two pages.
For a full description of the scholarships, see "Geography Scholarships".
