Funding

We are pleased to offer discounted registration ($100) for all students. And thanks to support from the National Science Foundation (Award No. EAR-1660536), we are also pleased to offer approximately 24 scholarships at $250/each to cover registration fee and some travel expenses for students outside of central Texas presenting a poster. Underrepresented groups in Geomorphology (e.g. African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, females) are eligible for an additional scholarship of $250 (up to $500 total). TXST students are not eligible for scholarships, but can work as a student volunteer for the symposium to cover their registration fee. Non-TXST students from central Texas presenting a poster are eligible for a $100 scholarship to cover the registration fee. There is a prompt on the Registration page to request these scholarships. Scholarships will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. If all scholarships are not claimed, the remaining funding will be distributed equally among all students presenting posters. Checks to all scholarship recipients will be sent after the Symposium. All inquiries for student scholarships should be directed to Jason.Julian@txstate.edu.
