Lesson Plan

This lesson is intended to be part of a 9th grade World Regional Geography course in a unit on Southeast Asia.  It is assumed that students have already had prior instruction in the physical geography of the region and some introduction to natural disasters such as flooding and tsunamis.  Refer to the Physical Geography module for resources.  Additionally, some understanding of the processes responsible for climate change would also be desirable before students complete this lesson.  Visit the Readings and Visual Media page for resources that can help you and your students grasp the complexities of climate change.
